Substitutes
We are always looking for dynamic people to join our group of staff. Starting as a substitute is a great way to learn about Montessori and Raintree. You can work around your class schedule or other part-time job schedule. Substitutes have the opportunity of working with children as young as 18 months to students aged 14 years. It is a wonderful way to gain experience with children. Often substitute positions morph into part-time or full-time work as we pull from our substitute list when there is a permanent opening at Raintree.
Montessori training is not required. Experience working with children is a must and preference is given to those who have experience working with groups of children in an educational setting.

Camp Raintree
Do you want to inspire and positively impact the lives of students?
Camp Raintree is looking for counselors, lifeguards, and workshop specialists. The workshops we are considering include: construction, computer learning, drama, group games, photography, board games, team sports, and wilderness. We are also open to creating new rotations if you are passionate about an activity.
Camp Raintree is a day camp serving elementary school-aged children from all over Lawrence and runs Monday through Friday. We are interested in college-age adults and older who have strong leadership skills and enjoy working in a remarkably happy and beautiful setting.
This position requires you to work every day of the week so that our campers are provided consistent support. Camp runs from June 1st to July 31st with set up and training the last two weeks of May.
Experience working with children is a must and preference is given to those who have worked in other camp experiences or with groups of children in this age range. You are paid for your training hours. Lifeguards must have current certification and experience.
In addition to full-time counselors, we are looking for substitutes who would have availability during the summer as well as substitute lifeguards.
